1 |
Arrival
at Windhoek International Airport – transfer to the city, after a short
sightseeing tour of Windhoek the group will be transferred to the Kaliombo
Safari Lodge near Karibib. In the afternoon you will enjoy a game drive

| Day 2 | Continue
via Omaruru and Khorixas into the Ombonde riverbed. The Ombonde is part
of the Hoanib River which accommodates a lot of wild animals and which
offers excellent wild camping spots. Full board: Camping Ombonde |

| Day 3 | Another
day is spent in the vicinity of the Ombonde. Game drives as well as nature
drives are planned for the day. Full board: Camping Ombonde |

| Day 4 | Today
we shall continue via the Khowarib gorge and via Sesfontein into the Ganamub.
The Ganamub is a side arm of the Hoanib River. Game drives in the vicinity
are undertaken to search for the famous desert elephants and other wild

| Day 5 | After
breakfast we drive to Purros, where one finds the nomadic Himba tribe,
living in their own environment. Continue into the Khumib, also a dry
riverbed where we will reach our day’s destination and set up camp. Full board : Camping Orupembe |

| Day 6 | Travelling
via Orupembe to Etanga, Otjitanda and Okangwati, and after another 90km
arriving at the Epupa Falls where we will stay for 2 nights. Full board: Camping Epupa Falls |

| Day 7 | The
day will be spent with a visit to a traditional Himba Kraal giving us
the opportunity to learn about the lifestyle of this very proud nomadic
tribe. In the afternoon we will explore the area and enjoy one of the
beautiful sunsets near the falls. Full board: Camping Epupa Falls |

| Day 8 | Excursion
along the Kunene River; good driving skills are important on this difficult
terrain. In the afternoon we will reach our next destination at Swartbooisdrift,
where we set up our camp. Full board: Camping Swartbooisdrift |

| Day 9 | The
route continues in a southerly direction via Epembe to Opuwo, the only
town in Kaokoland, where we can fill up with petrol and proceed to Damaraland.
We will camp at a lodge near the Etosha National Park. Full board: Camping Hobatere |

| Day 10 | Enter the National
Park at the Otjivasandu gate and undertake a full day game drive through
the western part of the park, only permitted to tour operators. In the
afternoon we will arrive at Okaukuejo Restcamp where we will spend the

| Day 11 | Return to Farm
Kaliombo via Kamanjab, Outjo and Omaruru, spending the last night there.

| Day 12 | Today we travel back to Windhoek via Okahandja with a visit to the woodcraft market and the Ombo Ostrich farm. On arrival in Windhoek transfer to the airport for the return flight | |
